Should you hire a Pro or a Helper for yard work?

Mow-Macho's marketplace includes both Pros and Helpers — independent providers with different strengths. Here's how the two typically differ.

When a Helper is a good fit

  • Moving yard materials from one spot to another.
  • Basic cleanup assistance.
  • Raking leaves or loose debris.
  • Bagging yard waste.
  • Carrying or hauling lighter items.
  • Other straightforward, manual, labor-oriented tasks.

When a Pro is a better fit

  • You want specialized service experience for the job.
  • The work calls for provider-owned equipment.
  • The scope is more complex than general labor.
  • The job needs a specific, specialized outdoor-service capability.

What this distinction doesn't mean

Pro and Helper describe how a provider positions their own services on Mow-Macho — they aren't legal categories, and Mow-Macho doesn't make licensing, insurance, or permit determinations on a provider's behalf. For work that's regulated or specialized in your area, consider what licensing, insurance, or permit requirements might apply, and review a provider's own profile for what they actually offer.

If you're the one who wants to offer yard work — as a Pro or a Helper — see how joining Mow-Macho as a provider works.
